Victorian by the Sea B&B (Lincolnville, Maine) was full of energy and excitement recently when a full production crew arrived to shoot several scenes for the Tess Gerritsen screenplay, Island Zero.   It is not uncommon when booking a room at the 1889 seaside Victorian for potential guests to ask if the B&B is haunted. And after this weekend, that question may have to be answered differently! Tess Gerritsen (Camden, Maine) trained as a medical doctor and a practicing physician before she took up writing, is world renown for her medical mystery thrillers. So it will come as no surprise to those who know her work that the movie is full of suspense, strange phenomenon and blood!

Island Zero is being produced by Mariah Klapatch of Camden and Los Angeles, and directed by Josh Gerritsen of Lincolnville and New York. They have been filming in the mid-coast area for most of the month of March. And everyone on the mid-coast is welcoming the off-season visitors.

Innkeeper Jeanne Short remarked, “The technicians and actors were amazing to watch as they worked in harmony in their individual roles. The winter season is usually so quiet at Victorian by the Sea that our heads were spinning. But the cast and crew were delightful guests and we are eager to see the film which will be released in early 2017.”
