VICTORIAN SUITE
A favorite for those seeking a quiet romantic Maine getaway, the Victorian Suite at Victorian by the Sea is the perfect place for a relaxing mid-coast vacation. Our signature suite offers views of the Penobscot Bay, cooling sea breezes in the summer, and a warm sunroom with gas fireplace for the cooler months. From the pumpkin pine floors to the tasteful furnishings, bay window seat, and airy feel, your stay in the Victorian Suite will be a charming one to remember.
The centerpiece of the room is the king-size bed with pillow-top mattress. A chaise and wing chairs welcome you in the turret room. The private bathroom with an antique claw-foot soaking tub/shower combination and dressing table are sure to please. Bath salts and a fluffy terry bathrobe will pamper and refresh you.
The suite is accessed from the spacious hallway sitting room on the second floor.
BAY ROOM
This cozy room at Victorian by the Sea offers B&B lodging near Camden Maine with big views of Penobscot Bay! For early risers, the sunrises are spectacular, and you may even catch a glimpse of lobster boats pulling their traps from the glistening waters of the Bay.
Relax by the wood-burning fireplace in comfortably upholstered chairs and read about the first occupant of the room, Ruth Sawyer. Her autobiographical book, The Year of Jubilo, can be found on the shelf in this room.
You will sleep soundly on the queen, pillow-top mattress while enjoying the sound of the lapping waves on the stone beach nearby. A ceiling fan and sea breezes assure your comfort. The room has an en suite bathroom with a shower. Fluffy terry robes and Gilchrist and Soames bath products are provided. The Bay Room is easily accessed from the hallway/sitting area on the second floor. This room does not accommodate a third person.
SAWYER SUITE
This private ocean view hideaway at Victorian by the Sea will take you back in time!
Furnished with a queen-size bed and an extra-large bathroom with dual sinks, a claw-foot soaking tub and separate shower, the Sawyer Suite occupies the entire floor in a “U” shape around the stairwell and offers unique Mid-coast Maine lodging. A reading area, chaise overlooking the Bay, separate sitting area with gas fireplace, and dormer window offer true cozy privacy here at the B&B.
The private balcony with a sliding glass door offers stunning views of the bay, making this room a favorite among photographers.
A bonus to the Sawyer Suite is the loft, accessed by a ship’s ladder. The loft, with two twin-size cots, accommodates two older children or young adults.
SUNRISE ROOM
Many returning guests to Victorian by the Sea, our bed and breakfast in Coastal Maine, choose the Sunrise Room. The inviting bay window seat offers ideal accommodations with cooling breezes and seasonal views of the ocean.
A ceiling fan and four windows keep this room comfortable in warmer months. Or, the down comforter with crisp duvet can be used on chillier evenings.
The Sunrise Room features a comfortable queen-size, pillow-top mattress. An en-suite bathroom with a large shower, fluffy terry robes and Gilchrist and Soames bath products offers private comfort. The sitting area with small table and charming wicker chairs in front of the bay windows offer pleasant views of the gardens.
This room is easily accessed from the hallway sitting area on the second floor and does not accommodate a third person.
SEASON ROOM
You will enjoy the decor in this charming room featuring tones of red and gold. Although this room does not have a water view, the large window provides afternoon light and a view of the changing seasons in the cedar and birch forest behind the inn.
You will sleep comfortably with a queen-size, pillow-top mattress and 400-thread-count cotton sheets. The room has a cozy gas fireplace and love seat and an en-suite spacious bathroom with antique claw-foot soaking tub and shower combination. Fluffy terry robes and Gilchrist and Soames bath products make your stay very special.

HARBOR ROOM
A unique lodging option at Victorian by the Sea, this charming first-floor room offers high ceilings and a bay window. The twin beds provide ideal lodging for friends or family traveling together. Book this room for your next friends’ weekend getaway in coastal Maine.
The room does not have a water view. However, the large bay window provides abundant light and a view of the flower gardens. The wood-burning fireplace is often used in the spring and fall and adds to the ambiance of this seaside retreat.

The Harbor Room is located on the first floor just off of the main entrance hall. It is convenient to the parlor, breakfast room and common rooms. This room does not accommodate a third person.
COASTAL COTTAGE APARTMENT
The Coastal Cottage Apartment at Victorian by the Sea offers the privacy of cottage lodging with a separate ground-level entrance (one step) along with all the amenities of our Maine bed and breakfast! Enjoy your spacious coastal apartment with private entrance. The updated apartment is attached to the historical and scenic Victorian By The Sea BnB. The gardens and shared veranda offer lovely views of the sea.
The spacious apartment has Victorian charm with modern amenities. The two story apartment has two bedrooms each with a queen bed, two full baths, a living room with a queen sized sleeper sofa, and remodeled kitchen. The Victorian styled first bedroom has a gas fire place and a full bath with claw foot tub/shower. The second floor bedroom is serene with ensuite full bath/shower. The large second floor is also home to the spacious open living area and newly remodeled kitchen and brand new appliances.
